Why can’t being a great teammate be enough?
We’ve built an entire industry around leadership.
📚 Books. 🎙 Workshops. 🎧 Podcasts. 🎤 TED Talks.
But we’ve skipped the one role that matters most on any team:
👉 Teammate.
There’s no school for that.
No curriculum.
No LinkedIn badges.
Just expectations.
We expect people to show up, communicate, sacrifice, support, and collaborate—without ever teaching how.
In sports, in business, in life:
Great teams don’t just need great leaders.
They need teammates who:
✅ Show up with purpose
✅ Build strong relationships
✅ Understand our power
✅ Make others better
If we only train leaders, we’ll always be disappointed in the teams they lead.
💡 Let’s start coaching teammateship.
Because teams win when teammates win.
👇 What’s one lesson you’ve learned about being a great teammate—on the court, in the office, or anywhere in between?
