Strong Teammate + Smart Tactician = Great Leader

The best definition of a leader is someone who gets people to follow them. People follow people they trust and who they believe know what they are doing.

We have all had someone whose intent and motives we trust but we do not believe they know what they are doing. And there are people who we acknowledge are experts but we remain cautious because we do not trust their motives.

We know that great teammates will...
1) Be Reliable (Show up)
2) Be both vulnerable and empathetic (Build strong relationships)
3) Know their own strengths and weaknesses.
4) Believe in the betterment of the whole (Make others better)

Yet, leaders also need to know how to win. To evaluate the "battle field", the resources available, and the opponent and come up with a winning strategy.

If we trust people, and believe in their skills then we will follow them. Teammates can be just great teammates. We all need to strive be great teammates.

But, leaders needs to be both.
